Kindergarten Academy

Our Kindergarten Academy was highlighted in the KSBA magazine as the cover story and we received a visit from Dr. Holiday.  This innovative program attributes the much of its' success to the staff and their "can do" attitudes! The bottom-line is that our students are benefiting from top-notch instruction.

Winter Wonderland Artists

Northern Elementary showcases their talented artists with stunning displays of Winter Wonderlands.  Mrs. Houchens, the art teacher, provides her students with clear learning targets, technology integration and most importantly the opportunity to create! This display is a true reflection of the tremendous artists that attend Pendleton County Schools.

PCHS Shines

The math department at PCHS received a public, well-deserved compliment from Dr. Newman and Dr. Waters from NKU at the KYOTE meeting this evening.  There were 60 people from 23 different high schools at the meeting.  Dr. Newman and Dr. Waters used our state report card to show the tremendous gain that PCHS has made with college and career readiness over the past few years to the entire crowd and also pointed out that those gains are made by an entire hard-working department that focuses on best practices and college and career readiness.
It is always meaningful to receive a compliment from your peer group--great job PCHS!

Goal Setting

Building a growth-mindset culture, has been a primary focus for Pendleton County Schools.  Empowering students to take control of their learning through goal setting is making a difference for students.  This is one of many examples from Sharp Middle School that highlights students creating a FaceBook page to illustrate their goals for MAP growth.

Leadership

We are fortunate to have strong leadership teams in each of our buildings.  They are student-focused and work together to meet the needs of each and every student.

Come to the edge, He said. They said, We are afraid. Come to the edge, He said. They came. He pushed them... and they flew.
